Hapuku
Hapuku is the fourth in a series of hollow vessel forms exploring the fish motif. The handling of the surface has its origins in Pacific Island wood sculpture. I have been working with different surface treatments for years, but only recently with raw carving tool marks to create textural direction and light play in my work.
